Terms and Conditions
Payment is expected at the time of service by cash, check, or major credit card.
We may grant 30 day terms to qualified clients as a courtesy. We must receive full payment within 30 days of the date of the invoice.
Accounts unpaid after 30 days are assessed finance charges at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% per year). A charge of $25 will be assessed for any returned checks.
Accounts unpaid after 60 days are assessed a $140 administrative fee for each month they remain unpaid, plus finance charges as described above. No further service is rendered until the account is paid to date. If an account remains unpaid, then the client will be responsible for any costs associated with collection of the account, including legal fees.
We are not an Apple dealer but we willingly provide purchase advice, including specific product recommendations and sources.
We will acquire products for you if you prefer. The time we spend finding and buying the best product is billed at standard rates.
Warranty, product repair, and product replacements are the responsibility of the manufacturer and dealer.
We won’t leave critical work partially done just to keep a strict time schedule. We finish necessary work at our current appointment before proceeding to the next. For that reason appointment times are approximate.
We respond to client emergencies the very best we can. We are usually able to flex our schedule when needed to respond appropriately. We respond to texts, calls, or emails.
Please give 24-hour advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule the appointment. If you do not then we may invoice you for one hour of consulting.
By phone or using any remote control software:
Billed to nearest quarter hour. Quarter hour minimum.
In person at the MacVantage office:
Billed to nearest quarter hour. Half hour minimum. By appointment only.
In person at your premises in the Raleigh area:
Billed to nearest quarter hour. One hour minimum.
In person at your premises in Durham or Chapel Hill area:
Billed to nearest quarter hour. Two hour minimum.
In person at your premises located outside the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area:
Billed to nearest quarter hour. One hour minimum plus we charge for travel time one way (from our location to your location).
While we will make every effort to safeguard data stored on your equipment, we do not assume responsibility for loss of data. Hard drives and other media should be backed up before work is begun.
As part of our services, we are willing to backup your data and we will charge the regular hourly rate.
At your request, we may attempt to recover data at our hourly rate, however, we cannot guarantee total data recovery. If our methods of recovery produce no results then we will not charge for the attempt. If further data recovery is needed then we use our relationship with DriveSavers to help you get a discounted rate and if no data is able to be recovered then they do not charge for the attempt.
We treat others the way we desire to be treated.
We abide by all software license agreements. If software is prohibited for business use then we will not install or support it at your business.
