Mac HelpMate

MacVantage is excited to provide remote support over the Internet for both Mac OS X and for Windows. We use a utility called Mac HelpMate. When you download this to your computer you are able to give us permission to view and control your computer over a secure connection.

1. Download the utility, Mac HelpMate. At first you will see a file that is
   compressed with the “.zip” at the end of the file name.
2. Double-click that and it should decompress to make the file Mac HelpMate.
3. Double-click the utility to launch Mac HelpMate.
4. Click the MacVantage logo to open the Remote Support sharing window.
5. Click the button, “Share My Screen”.
6. We will need the Security Secret and the Control Key that will be randomly generated.
